I’m fascinated by rhythm, fluidity, and fidelity. Though I studied electrical engineering with a specialization in electromagnetism in college, I've since taken a journey into nonlinear dynamics, chaos, fluids, music, neural architecture, organization design, start up building, options trading, and decentralized systems like bitcoin that enable coordination and alignment without a central choreographer. It's all fascinating and profound to me. Curiosity and entrepreneurship have driven me into the intersection of many domains, all revolving around systems, ideas, products, and protocols to enable higher levels of collective actualization through better modes of coordination, expression of intention, and error correction.
I like to have one foot in theory and one foot in the applied with real skin in the game and aligned incentives in order to iteratively improve decision making under volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity.
Research interests: volatility, convexity, liquidity, the nature of exchange, chaos, music/rhythm theory, consensus mechanisms, emergent network dynamics, adaptive systems, slime mold intelligence.
Projects: I combine my understanding of fluids, vibration, and market dynamics as a long volatility options trader and tail hedger. I'm currently spending most of my time helping to build and catalyze the crypto ecosystem and web3 transformation.
This is a place for my rhythmic experimentation. It is not my intention to simply do "covers" of songs. I play along with songs I'm very familiar with as well as songs I'm hearing for the first time to improve my listening and improvisation. I like to make practice musical, so I often play with new ideas or techniques within a rhythmic framework provided by a song.
I often get insight from real-time neurofeedback with an EEG that I occasionally wear while playing.
